Educational History:

I graduated from Artesia High School in 2007 and earned my Bachelors of Science from New Mexico State University in 2011. 

I am currently enrolled at Eastern New Mexico University and am only 3 credits away from receiving my Alternative Teachers Licensure. 

Current Position:

This will be my second year teaching at Elida Municipal Schools, and well, my second year teaching at all!

Previous Position:

Prior to teaching I worked for non-profits and county government straight out of college. 

I have always been community driven, this is why I felt teaching would be a great career path.

Family Information:

My family and I moved to Elida in 2016 where we renovated a 1907 house and added on a room. This house is home, this town in home. Zach, my husband, owns his own company and works within the region. Aj and Rustin both attend school here as well!

I enjoy reading books (when I have time) and arts and crafts with AJ. I also love to update furniture and bring old items back to use again, it’s the thrill of the hunt for me!

We do a lot of yardwork at my house, pulling weeds is therpeutic. If you have driven past my house you notice we have an eclectic array of things! From our big yellow motorhome and school bus, to the three horses, one mule, and one donkey, down to our little corgy Rory, life it always interesting at the Vigil house!
